Hundred Miles An Hour

The last couple months have flown by. We have been going hundred miles an hour and enjoying every minute. Zach is growing up way to fast and becoming a little dare devil. I can say for sure that he does not have a only fear of heights. He thoroughly enjoys climbing up on things and balancing on the edge. I think he may be trying to give me a heart attack. We now have to keep our dining room table chairs up on the dining room table because Zach has figured out that he can pull them out and climb up on top of the table. (Which is at bar level:))

Crazy Summer

This summer has been absolutely crazy... Every weekend we have been on the go! The weekend after Zachs Birthday party we went to the Beach. On the 4th of July we went camping up at the river with the Fam. The following weekend Brandon and I had an adult trip over to Sumpter for some 4-wheeling. Last weekend we went back up to the River and enjoyed the hot weather and this weekend we are headed back to the River for the entire week. We should definitely get all of our camping out of our system. Good thing Zachy loves being outside and getting dirty:)

1ST BIRTHDAY

Last weekend we had a little BBQ for Zachary's 1st Birthday! It still amazes me that he is already one. Where did the year go??? Zach got tons of toys and clothes, which by the way I have absolutley no room for in my little house. You can definatly tell who rules the roost the minute you walk into our house. Zach had a wonderful time opening all the new gifts and playing on his new toys. It was funny to watch him eat his cake. He actually didnt like the fosting on his fingers and he cried:(

Good Hygiene

One of Zachies favorite times of the day is bath time. When you tell him its time for bath he runs straight into the bathroom and peeks over the tub at all his toys. He tries to get undressed, but he hasn't figured out how to take his clothes off yet, but tries very hard. He would spend hours in the bathtub if I would let him. He is for sure a water lover:)

Camping

I never knew an 11 month old could love 4-wheeling as much as Zach does. We had the best time camping a wheeling in Sumptner with the Dodge family. We went out on several rides with the kids and Zach loved every minute of it. We would put him in his Baby Bjorn and his arms and legs would start flapping with excitement when we started the 4-wheelers. He just loved the sound of the motor and the wind blowing in his face. If you listened carefully you could hear him making motor sounds as you drove down the trails. I couldn’t stop laughing at him; every so often he would look up at you and smileJ He his such a boy! When we would stop for little brakes he would get down and double check every tire and wheel to make sure they looked good. Back at camp he would checkout all of the 4-wheelers several times and then want to be put back up on the seat to pretend he was driving them. He couldn’t get enough of them. It was by far one of best vacations we have taken in a long time!

At The Races

Last weekend we went to the Elma race track to cheer on Daddy! While on our way to the restroom Zach found a race car just his size. I have never seen a kid so excited to sit in the drivers seat of a race car. It was so cute he sat in the seat and made motor noises and pretended to drive. Its so amazing to see how much he loves things with wheels and motors. When it was time to move on and go back to our seats you would have thought I had just beat the poor kid. He kicked and screamed at me for at least 10 minutes, then he wouldn't even look at me for another 30 minutes. I had never seen him so mad. Needless to say we avoided walking back by the race car!

On April 23rd cousin Cailyn turned 1. We had a wonderful little party in her mommy's hospital room. We had cake and opened presents. Cailyn loved her cake and dug right in!!!

SPEED

Zach just loves everything that has wheels and speed (not surprising when his father is Brandon!) He hasnt figured out that he needs to hold down the throttle to keep the bike going, but every now and then he hits it and gets all excited.

Tulip Festival

On Saturday Zachy, my mom and I went to the Tulip Festival. All the flowers were beautiful and Zach loved the wooden shoe. In fact he was so cute sitting in it a random lady asked if she could take his picture because he was just so darn cute!

Easter Bunny

We had a wonderful Easter weekend except Zachary had a fever and wasnt his normal happy self. On Friday night we headed up to Vancouver to visit Granny Jeanette who gave Zachy a new Tonka truck (his favorite toy) and a chocolate bunny named "Zachary".
On Saturday we just hung out at my parents house and tried to catch up on some sleep from the sleepless night before. Zachary started to feel a little better by Saturday night and his fever was doing much better. By Sunday he was almost 100% himself. All I know is that baby Tylenol has the opposite effect on Zach and makes him wired! No sleeping is happening while on baby Tylenol:)
Zach was not happy he had to stop playing with his new truck to take a picture. It is really funny to watch him with the truck that plays music. He has started this new thing that when he hears any sort of music he starts to dance and getts a really serious look on his face. Then when he is done dancing he claps for himself. He is such a ham! I'm not sure were he got his dancing moves from because Brandon and I both are probable the worlds worst dancers. Hopefully he inherated his Aunt Desirees moves.

This is a picture of all the little cousins. It amazing we were able to get them to all sit together and take a picture! (Elli, Maci, Maddi, Zach, & Tyler)

Our Little Trucker

Zach has a very large imagination and has for some reason decided that he needs to climb into his Tonka truck and be pushed around the house. His little bottom fits perfect in the dump of the truck and he will just sit there and rock back and forth until you push him. So spoiled:)

Zach and cousin Cailyn on the move

This week Brandon has been away, so Zachary decided that he needed to step-up and be the man of the house and helpout with some chores:)

9 Months

Today Zach will be 9 months old. We went to the doctor yesterday and he now weighs in at 22lbs 14oz and is 31.5 in tall. The nurse actually remeasured him because she couldn't believe he was that tall. He is the average height of a 16 month old. The doctor said he looks really health and is very developmentally advanced for his age.

Zach's new favorite thing to do is growl like a bear and sometimes he will growl for so long that it will make him have a coughing attack. I tell him he needs to stop but he just looks at me like I'm the weird one:)

Busy Life

This last month has been very busy. We have been visiting a lot and have had a handful of visitors ourselves. Zach turned 8 months on the 18th and now has four teeth; two on the bottom and recently got the other two on the top. He can crawl like a mad man and disappear in an instant. He walks really good if he is holding on to something and I think he will be walking within the next month.

Crazy boy stole his cousins hat!

Zach and I watching the Daytona 500

If you could only read his mind! I know he is planning out how he is going to get those draws open:)

Growing Up

Zach is officially a crawler! It has become hard to stop the little guy from getting into everything. He knows exactly what he is not suppose to be in and heads straight for it. Not only is he crawling now, but he is strong enough to pull himself up on things. He has become to strong for his own good. His balance isn't the best yet, so he will pull himself up and wobble for awhile then fall over. He makes me so nervous, but I guess that's what kids are suppose to do:)

Fun in the Mud

On New Year's Day we went and watched Brandon race in the "Hangover Scramble." It was a wet, muddy, cold mess! Of course Zach loved it because we were outside with loud motor noises. He is his fathers son!!!

It was so muddy you couldn't even tell who was who.

This is Brandon flying by us!
